I was with her for 2 and a half years and they were the best and most real times i've known. She said she couldn't imagine her life without me, i felt the same way. She made me so completely happy and gave me more hope than i thought possible. Things were kinda wierd for a couple weeks and i sat down to talk with her, she said she was confused and didn't know what she was feeling. I had been through a lot for her, i was kinda down over some thigns at the time, and she wasn't completly be there for me and i felt kidna cheated, and frustrated. I just wanted her to be happy so i asked if she wanted to break up. A lot of bad thigns followed, one in perticular a couple weeks afterwords but i got her to get out of that situation. She said she is unsure of how she feels about me now, and doesn't want to get back together. She doesn't know maybe she said she made a mistake and will come back. I don't really see that happening and she is dating some one now. i'm just so hurt.

My son's girlfriend of 6.5 years broke up with him and he was truly devastated for several months. However, he got back out there and has had some really nice girlfriends that have been even better for him then the first one. Sometimes you just have to get out there and try again. The other one was his high school and college sweetheart, they were engaged and he so thought she would be with him for their lifetimes. But he has moved on to better things and you can too. You will always have a special place in your heart for the one you have lost but your future relationships can be better for you and hopefully you have learned something from the loss. There are lots of special people out there and there is one just right for you.

Is it really your soulmate if only one of you know it?
I had a girl friend who broke up with me when I transfered to a different college.... I couldn't understand why she did that... I was hurt but I went on to school...

to make a very big mistake, I married my now ex wife.

now more than 21 years later, my wife wanted a divorce to go to her momma.. so I got out of her way and let her go... since I'm not gettin' between that...

Guess who i see by random chance.... Yep... my girl friend of before - and visiting someone (She lived half way across the US)... ... we got back together, this was after her divorce....
and I thought we were happy for the 6 monnth, (I believe she did too)
know what...
Now and only now - 27 years after I first met her, I really see her,
"She is just like my ex..."
so we broke up...
I happy wit that, she's happy with that... I think we are still friends...

I am going to give you the female perspective on this one. Will I ever find him again? Take some time to get things together and move on. Personal experience, I am still not over a guy who was totally inspiring in about everyway to me and it has been 2 months. However, I used it to my advantage. i wrote a story about it. You will, with time. It is normal to feel that way, and am sure it sux.
Hang in there, and try to find things to take your mind off her, and of things you shared. It will be hard, but you have to move on.

Anything is possible..I am back with my ex..who if you asked me 6 years ago I would fall in love with again..I would of told you HELL NO..but I never could be happier in my life right now. And I am with him.
