I have a 2002 Kawasaki Ninja 250EX, and the clutch cable snapped off, I have absolutely no idea how to replace it so I need to take it somewhere and have it done, does anyone know how much this costs, and how hard it is to replace? Thanks in advance.

WEll, where I live labor runs about $50. an hour. The cable will probably run around $100, depending on what you get..so it will probably take a couple of hours to put it on.. or you could diy and save a lot of money...

Motorcycle Clutch Cable Replacement

If you can replace a bicycle brake or shift cable, you can replace a motorcle shift cable. The guys at the motorcycle shop are going to laugh at you. We all will laugh at you if you take your bike to the shop for a clutch cable.

Please just buy the cable and put it in yourself. In a pinch one time, I actually used a bicycle brake cable for a motorcycle shift cable. If you go that route, $1.99 will get you on the road again.

20 to 60 bucks for the cable. For a price go to www.ironpony.com . If you have a little knowledge of mechanical work this is an easy fixer

An hour labor ,the cable and probably a gasket. $125 or so. I'd get a manual and do it myself. That is if you have access to tools.
