I had an ovarian cyst removed a month ago. Before then my periods were like clock work. Now I don't even know when I ovulated or if I even have. If I would have ovulated like normal I would be 2 days late today. But now I don't know when to expect my period.

I had surgery last year and my period actually came early. I think the stress of it all impacts somehow. I actually mentioned it to the surgeon and he felt it was "normal". I wouldn't worry unless you've had unprotected sex. If you aren't menstuating at all or too frequently that could indicate a problem that would require a doctor's visit.

Yes, having surgery on your ovaries may make your have abnormal periods. The ovaries are responsible for ovulating, if there was any trauma to the ovaries, you would have changes in ovulation and changes in your period. Also, the ovaries are the predominant producers of estrogen and progesterone, both or which are responsible for ovulation and a period.

Yes. Did they remove one or both ovaries? If they removed one, you will ovulate every other month and have a period every other month. If they removed both, you will no longer ovulate and no longer have a period. It could be that the ovary they removed was the one that was supposed to ovulate this month.

I have also had this same procedure, and yes it can mess with your cycle. If you don't start within the next week you should call your doctor.
I also got pregnant very soon after my procedure. Could that be something to consider?
Don't panic just yet. Good luck.
