I’m working as mortgage loan officer assistant while simultaneously am working to become a loan officer myself. Appearance is everything in this business. And because appearance is everything in this business do you guys/girls believe that with me running around in a Yaris I would look silly? They are rather small cars I mean…but I would like get good MPG given that I will be traveling all around Los Angeles County and I need good MPG given the high gas prices.

Any comments. If I were the guy doing your loan how would you react to your loan officer driving a Yaris given considering that he is young?

I'm a loan officer for a bank. Good career choice, Don't worry your young. If you were to drive something too good, it would leave the wrong impression. Go with the Yaris.

I personally don't judge my loan office on the basis of the type of car (s)he drives. But I'd hold my realtor to a higher standard. Sorry, I don't know if that's hypocritical. But I know that realtors get a commission off of the houses they sell (do mortgage loan officers get paid off commission too?), so I would judge them partially based on how much they appear to be earning.

My realtor drives a Mercedes, but that's not the reason why I chose him. The realtor that I used before him drove a very old Toyota. While the car does give you a first impression, what it really comes down to is customer service. I'd hire the person that I think is the most intelligent and confident and willing to help, and has the best references, regardless of whether that person drove a Yaris or a Jeep or a Hummer or whatever. As long as your car isn't falling apart and doesn't look dilapadated, I think you're fine.

It's possible that more affluent buyers might be a bit more judgmental about such things, but I think that if you can impress them with your intelligence, customer service, and qualifications, you won't have to worry about driving a Yaris.

Good luck with your decision!

To be honest, I wouldn't care if my loan officer walks or takes a bus or rides a bicycle to work. I don't have to pay his bills. Considering the fact that you are young, don't get caught up in the whole image thing with not only high gas prices but high insurance costs as well. If you are financing this vehicle, consider that your job may not last the 4-6 years of the loan and then what? Buy what you can afford not what makes you look good behind the wheel. I speak from experience.

I am not the type to think less of someone for the car they drive....however others might. I don't think you driving a yaris would look bad. After all it is a sound choice, gets great mileage, and, I think, cute! As long as you carry yourself with pride and not show embarrassment you should be good. if you can wait you might like the Smart-car. It is only in Europe right now but I think Chrysler will be importing it come 2008. I am drooling over one myself.

The Yaris is notably solid and it gets solid mileage. because of the fact the Yaris is priced quite low, in case you sense which you relatively elect to greater efficient your image, you may continually bypass after a Honda Civic Hybrid which will desire to have greater area. The Honda in super condition is likewise a solid decision. I heard that for the time of one city, the administrative of Police drives a Toyota Prius or Honda Civic Hybrid whilst the different law enforcement officials tension customary automobiles. He says he gets nicely over 40 miles according to gallon whilst the different officers purely get 13 miles according to gallon on their squad automobiles. in view which you're youthful, i do no longer think of all of us could think of much less of you for utilising a Yaris. i could think of you're being very sensible and helping the ambience.
