I don't hate president Bush. He is one of the best presidents this country has ever had. He has made some mistakes, but no one is perfect. And to all those people who bring up the whole war in Iraq thing, with 2500+ deaths. We have been in war for almost 5 years now and with that low of a death rate for a war, I would consider it not that bad. And the soldiers who died chose to join the military. They were not forced into it. They chose. And besides, people are just stupid.

First, I don´t hate the man. I just have disdain for him that verges on despising.
I hate Fidel Castro, Idi Amin, Hussein, Hitler, Stalin. Just to clarify that point.
No, I did not hate him for his brother stealing the election for him. Interesting, that you use the word rant, because its usually we liberals who are reasonable, the reactionaries, like McLaughlin, Hannity and sidekick, Wm. Buckley, Buchanan, rant.
Our feelings towards the prez did not change or become more strident after 04. We pretty much consolodated our position about 1 1/2 years before that when we realized how inept the administration was in its dealing with Iraq. We realized, unlike you gung ho GOPpers that there was no INITIAL interest in turning the country over to a democratic infrastructure but that ours was going to be an occupying force. That´s what I was against. The whole crap about nation building was just that so much crap. We were going to establish a beachhead in the MidEast. No matter what the expense. That is what I had a problem with. No liberal or American ever liked Hussein as the head of Iraq, it´s another thing to hit the tar baby, knock it off the stool and think that you can get your hand back.

1. As president, he has got us into an unnecessary war under the pretext of it being an pre-emptive strike due to weapons of mass destruction. If there was that much evidence that made war necessary, we would of found more than a few aging chemical weapons munitions that could not of been used on the USA. While Saddam was an evil man who no sane person would want leading a country, it was not our place to do the job and foot the bill for it.
2. The recorded mishandling of the Katrina disaster. Its sad when Hezbollah is doing better at rebuilding Lebanon that our government is doing to rebuild New Orleans.
3. His belief that his own religious beliefs is more important than religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution as shown by his fight against gay marriage (which several religions including some Christian denominations respect and allow), stem cell research (where he says he is a hero for stopping research from fertility treatments which means 99% will be destroyed without any chance of contributing to medicine and science research), and 10 commandments in public places (which I support in some circumstances). Anyone who wants to see a balance of religion and public space should take a tour of the Pennsylvania State Capital.

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

you say he was elected and you say you want the facts but you don't even know the facts bush did not win the 2000 elections, he had many of his fathers personal friends in the government help him rig the election. the only reason he was elected in 2004 was because if we were to elect a new president in the middle of a war, it would make us look weak. i hate bush because he has refused to make it a law to make suv's and trucks more fuel efficient and because he did not sign the oil conservation act. Also, i do not follow many of his other political and personal beliefs. I believe religion should have no place in politics, he should not make decisions based on his personal beliefs rather than those of the people.

I don't hate him but: He lied when he said we needed to go into Iraq because of WMD's. He has oil interests and sat down with Saudi oil ministers just prior to 911. He froze when he first learned of the news of 911. He was elected controversially where the deciding state was governed by his brother. He wiretaps phones illegally, going directly against our Constitution without so much as discussing it until after he got caught. He sends kids to die while his daughters go on drinking binges (as daddy used to do). Finally, he is the only President who may lead us into a nuclear war and who cannot even properly say the word "nuclear."

Thats cute, with the whole 'liberal as a bad word' name calling. In response to YOUR response on a question of mine, I will post for you info on the draft in legislation since 03 that you said doesn't exist.

Since you opt to have no contact info, this is the only way I can enlighten you...

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d108:h.r.00163:

it would behove you to stay away from name calling and accusations if you intend to have serious question/answer posts, which is doubtful for most of the questions/answers I've seen here in general.

have a good one!

And in response to THIS question, you asked why people hate someone. Hate is an opinion. I hate something because I don't like it.

But you ask to provide FACTS. Isn't the fact that someone's opinion is based on another opinion fact enough. I pose this question to you...
Can you tell me what he has done that you like so much (minus anything having to do with the war on terror)? Anything domestic?

Hi, I am about as liberal as you can get and I do not hate Bush. I think he is trying his best. His policies are simply mistaken, they are not well thought out, they have no thorough planning, they have led the country into disaster. The war is a catastrophe, it never should have been started. The country is now a trillion dollars in debt to Communist China, and that is very very very bad for America. My disagreements with Mr. Bush are entirely over policy and if you will please think your way thru the problems facing America today, you, too will agree that he has made horrendously disasterous decisions. But thanks for your interest.

I dont hate Bush, but I dont think that all of the credit or blame should be given to him. After all he is only one man who has hundreds of advisors who are specialists in that given area that they are advising him from. If he was a good president then he would try to listent to everyones point of view and make the decision from there. I am totally conservative but dont believe that he has made great decisions because he would not listen to all of the facts

H is the man who fuels terrorism in today's world.
Te invasions on Afganisthan , Iraq, now the attack on Lebanon with Israel in the front ...these cannot be justified. coz it is the civilian who is getting killed in every attack.
The impending danger faced by North Korea, Syria & Iran is beyond comprehension. All these factors make Bush an utter failure as a president & as a human being.
