Here is a web site that gives you tips on bathing your baby. Hope it helps. The water temp should be fine. My husband fixes my babys (5 mth old) very very warm and he loves it.

Well...despite what some of the other people have said, YES!! It's perfectly OK! My daughter has been going in our hot tub since she was 4 months old. We have the temp set between 94-96, and she absolutely loves it! We have a little floaty boat that she goes in, and we stay in sometimes for up to a half hour. She thinks its a swimming pool and splashes, and plays in the water. She also comes out of the floaty and we hold her and she loves to practice "floating" on her stomach and back (while we hang on to her of course!) She is now 7 months old and has NEVER been ill and the hot tub always seems to relax her. The only time it is dangerous is if the temperature is too high (over around 98 degrees or so) because it will elevate the babies body temperature, or if the water is not clean because baby could get something like an icky virus. So, my advice: Go swimming and have a blast! :)

I don't know about it being harmful but personally I would never take my 6 month old in a hot tub. Kids shouldn;t be in a hot tub anyway. When I give my daughtewr a bath, the water is not 90 degrees.

One would have to be careful, and you want to make sure the exposure is not too long.

I know that doctors do not advise taking an infant into a hot tub, but I took my 6 month old daughter into a hot tub with me when I was on a "girls weekend" in a condo. She loved the rolling water and the bubbles, and it was like one large bathtub to her (she loves her baths!!). We stayed in the tub for about ten minutes, and then went swimming in the heated pool right next to the hot tub. She did not exhibit any ill effects from the hot tub. I was careful not to allow her to stay in too long, and I watched her to see if she showed any signs of her body temp going up.

If you look at rational facts, adults normally set their hot tubs (personal) between 104 - 110 degrees. This is for comfort and to decrease the chance of bacteria, allowing for fewer cleanings. Resorts and public hot tubs are between 92 - 100 degrees because they get cleaned more often (or are supposed to) and since the public is using them, it decreases liability. Typically, bathwater in the tub is between 85 - 95 degrees (adults usually is hotter).

By the way - the hot tub at the resort that my daughter and I stayed at was set at 96 degrees F. I spoke to my doctor afterwards, and she said that watching her and taking the dip in the cooler pool afterwards were two very good things to do. Also remaining in for only ten minutes was a good thing. Prolonged exposure to elevated heat can cause problems. I would call and ask your baby's doctor if you want information and thoughts on this, but I think as long as you are careful, and you pay attention to your baby and don't allow them to remain in the water too long, it would be okay. But speak to your doctor. They will know the best, since they know your baby.

The baby might not like the water so hot. My 3 year old doesn't like hot tubs because the temp is so hot. She puts her feet in for a second and always says it is too hot.

so long because the nice and cozy temperature is off and also you do not positioned her head everywhere close to the water she should be wonderful. not a lot for drowning- yet with the aid of chemical substances utilized in warm tubs. no matter if you had the nice and cozy temperature on and it became less than the traditional temperature, round ninety stages, she should be ok. babies LOVE water, and fewer than a supervised difficulty may have a large number of interesting!

no it will be fine. 90-94 isnt much warmer than regular bath water. if the child starts crying or seems ill, take him(her) out of the water, you should be ok

I think it would be ok if you don't keep him/her in there long because I have gotten sick from a hot tub before and I was a teenager so I wouldn't keep it in there for long.
