I'd like to see the Yankees beat him fair & square but this seems like it'll put Schilling at a disadvantage.

It can't help Schilling or Mussina. Neither is a spring chicken. The Red Sox have no one in the bullpen to bring in. Tomorrow Wells pitches. Tuesday's starter has not been announced.

The tarp is just coming off now (9:33pm ET), and Schilling is a gamer, so I doubt it will have much of an effect.

Rain delays hurt pitchers. It takes a while to losen their muscles and find their rhythm. When you're in the swing of a game and have to sit out an hour or more, you tighten up. I wouldn't be surprised to see relief pitchers out there when they return.

if it lasts for a while it could hurt..create arm or back stiffness. If its short then probubly have no effect.
