I'm going to my cousins wedding next summer, and I ws just curious if anyone had been there, and they new if the drinking age was 18. Is it the same if were staying at one of those huge resorts? And if we end up taking a cruise, I thought there was no age requirement. I'm probably wrong though...

just drink. If you're in Jamaica, they don't know how old you are anyway. Not like they'll card you or anything. Have fun! Don't get so drunk you'll ruin the wedding though

Jamaica is 18. Its the same anywhere in the country, because that is the law.

Most cruise ships keep the drinking age of their country of origin, which is generally 18. At 18, you're considered an adult by law in most countries and therefore, responsible for your own actions.

The legal drinking age in Jamaica is 18, however if you stop in at some of the local pubs they may not pay too much attention. The cruise people will definitely pay attention! They have too much to lose.

I suppose the drinking age in Jamaica is 18 because it's part of the Commonwealth of Nations and does has ties to the British Government.
