Babies don't usually read the books that say that bottom teeth usually come in first...LOL
You baby's teeth will come in where and when they are ready. She can have swollen gums and be "teething" for a long time. Poor little ones. Put bibs on her, give her something to chew on and let her surprise you as to which teeth actually pop through first!
By the way, the best advice I read when my babies were teething said, get a shot glass of gin (or whatever) dip your finger in it, rub it on baby's gums and drink the rest so you can make it through the night! LOL Actually use baby Oracle and baby Tylenol to make baby's life a lot easier. As for your own nerves......well, if it works - go for it!

Usually the bottom 2 come in first, followed by the top 2. Then the 2 on either side on the bottom 2 and top 2 come in. Then the molars start coming in. There will be a gap where the incisors come in for awhile. Teething is really hereditary, so if you got teeth early, your baby probably will too. My daughter got her first 2 teeth at 6 months, and my friends daughter started at 10 months. A baby can get one tooth at a time, or get several at a time.

yes, they can. My granddaughter's first tooth was on bottom and she was about 10 months old. The doctor told us not to worry that some children's teeth come in slowly. So we waited and sure enough the first one came in (on the bottom) and then one after another. By the age 12 months, she had a mouth full of teeth. Had to be hard on the poor little thing though. :)

Most infants two top teeth grow in first and like a few weeks later the two bottom...It's funny they usually grown in twos. Watch out one day she might just bite you with a full set of teeth they grow in quick. LoL...

yes, the top teeth can come in first. My nephews did, but my son's bottom teeth were his first teeth that came in. I think it's different for some, but more common for them to come out on the bottom first.

Definitely. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to child development. Usually, the bottom 2 teeth arrive first. But in some cases, the uppers will come in early.
