Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, or really any type of electronics or computer retail store would have a few good choices of sound cards

If you have a Fry's nearby, I'd go there. I've done plenty of price comparison's with Circuit City, Best Buy, and Comp USA. Fry's always seems to have the better deal.

For me, I always get deals from www.newegg.com.

One more good thing, it shipping is SUPER FAST and on time.

I get my graphic card, sound card, and cpu all from there. Check the 'hot deal' , sometimes you will find something cheaper than in retail store!

Edited: sorry is newegg.com not neweggs.com .. lol

whenever i need hardware i check the online flyer's at OfficeMax, circuit city, walmart, well...all of the stores that are close and carry them and find one that has whatever i need on sale...i am sure you'll find one

you can also check your yellow pages for used computer dealers and call and ask them

or do eBay, its cheap but not always reliable

Your motherboard DOES have onboard AUDIO!

Here's the main page for all your motherboard info & drivers.

Just reinstall the audio drivers, that should get your sound back.

www.pricegrabber.com
www.bensbargains.net
www.techbargains.com
www.pricescan.com

I would suggest you pick a model of sound card in your price range then use the sites above to find the lowest price.
A good place to start is www.creative.com
