Maybe meniscus (which is a ligament that is right the side of the kneepcap)...if it still hurts in a few days go to hospital. If it starts getting better it could just be a tendon. If you can't walk at all on it it may be ACL and in that case go to the ER.

I read this old home remedy but haven't tried it myself.You tie a green cabbage leaf onto your knee and leave it over night to draw out the pain. It can't hurt to try it.

You need to see a doctor. It sounds like you have torn a ligament or torn some cartilage. Only a doctor can tell you if you did that, or if it is just a slight sprain. Tomorrow is Monday; call your doctor.

I have felt pain like that it turned out to be a torn minicus, you need to see a doctor cause if it is that it usually means surgery, a simple scope

possible tear in the acl, mcl, or miniscus(padding/cartledge between the knee) i had it last year and had to have surgury. footballs a knee killer
