No freedom has taken a serious beating since 911. Safety is pounding the constitution and the government is the no longer a government Of the people but one that is clearly in control of its people many Americans are very happy about this and trust there government immensely. I myself would agree with Patrick Henry and choose death over losing my liberties but there are very few of us in these days.

No, we have less and less freedom every year. New laws, less freedom. That is what a lot of laws do. They take away freedoms if they are meant to be applied to the whole US population.

In 1986 about half of the states still outlawed "sodomy" and the U.S. Supreme Court said that it was okay to do so.
In 2003 about one-fourth of the state still outlawed "sodomy" and the Supreme Dictators changed their minds and said it is not okay to do so.

Define "freedom."

The U.S. Supreme Dictators said in the 2003 decision "Our obligation is to define the liberty of all, not to mandate our own moral code." Whatta bunch of hypocritical baloney!! I still don't see a definition of liberty.

Well, I can still say what I want, practice whatever religion I want, shoot and own guns, police still have to show me a warrent, and the government is still protecting me with a militia. Huh...that is about what it was like in the 1790's.

Our freedom is the same as when our country was formed. It is an ideal that we must consistently defend and never waver from REGARDLESS of what the laws say.
