The terrorists claim that the attacks on the west are based on our interference in these Islamic countries, but before we were involved in these countries, were terrorists still active against the west?

They say that, but its called PROPOGANDA...a nice word meaning LIE.
Last time I checked, we weren't in Iraq OR Afghanistan on 9/11, so theres your answer right there. They just keep making up excuses and reasons to kill people when in reality their ultimate agenda is the complete obliteration of ALL Non Muslims worldwide.
Their propoganda machine wants you to believe they have legitimate reasons for their attacks, but its all a ploy to keep the vast majority of Non Muslims sitting on their asses and not reacting until its too late.
The west and the rest of the world needs to wake up and take notice. Now is not the time for talk or pacifisim.
We need to realize we are at war with these people. They cannot be trusted at all. This is a war of extermination, and I for one will NOT be one of its victims.

At best, not immediately. Realisticly we have to think long term. Getting out of these countries would do something to the perception most Arabs have that we are out to kill them. Right or wrong, our actions in Iraq, Afghanistan and our support of Israel have reinforced this perception and helped terrorist groups replenish their ranks.

No. Our interference with other nations starts before we illegally invade them. Just the American's ego is enough to ruffle feathers. Besides, terrorists have an unstable mindset in the first place, what other reason could there be to kill yourself and other innocent people. If they are protesting a government, then the act should be towards the gov't, not innocents.

I consider it serendipity that the lunes are magnetized to fight us in Iraq, where we are prepared to clobber them with the most fantastic fighting machine on the planet.
Bush isn't the greatest, by a long shot! But, on this one point, he's dead on: Better to fight them there than here.

Dream on. All "non-believers" are on their hit list.
It's mandated in the Quran.
Children are raised to die for Allah, and they make life so GD miserable that death is the only way out of it.
Read some history. This has been going on since 1978.

no... the terrorists will beep terrorising you, so you shut the funk up and don't ask questions, but ask for more of your freedoms to be taken away, because you don't ask the proper questions nor do you have the common decency to know the facts.
Guess who the real terrorists are?
