Do you do regular updates from Microsoft for your computer? (ie, turn on automatic updates in control panel).

Start by checking your computer manufacturer's web site..they may have info you can use...the sites I'd recommend are Windows Marketplace (that's actually part of Microsoft.com...you might actually have the shortcut already on your computer) and download.com...you can search for things you want...I agree with the other suggestions to run a defrag...also, how much memory do you have? you might want to upgrade that too...if you've got an older computer with a slower processor, there's not much you can do beyond a certain point

downloading stuff will make ur computer slower, do this, defrag it, Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools, Disk Defragmenter
