When one breaks someone else's window, they have to pay for the damages, regardless whether its intentional or not. Israel destroyed many infrastructures, houses, bridges and buildings in Lebanon. Lives cannot be repaid. But all that were destroyed, billions of dollars im sure.. during the Israeli attack, shouldnt that be the responsibility for the Israeli government to pay? Why have i only hear other government and charity organization who are the one providing aid in money.. even the Hezbollah.. but not Israel.. the one who destroyed those things at the first place. Isnt that their responsibility? Would like to know the opinion of others out there. Descent answer please.

I agree with one of the answer.. Germany and Japan would have been dead broke.. and i think its only fair that these countries should pay for the damages caused. If they are afraid to be broke then they shouldnt have broken the mirror at the first place wouldnt they? I believe one should pay for damaging something dont they? then only would it prevent ppl from freely destroy something just cos they can

gaybob, ur right.. there were help after the WWII in rebuilding lives but would there be help by the Israeli to Lebanon for what they destroyed? The whole economy and livelihood was gone isnt it? And its also true that the US never ask Japan to pay for the damages And that too i believe is unfair.. or perhaps the US has thought that the debt has been paid by the retribution they have given in the form of atomic bomb in Hiroshima n Nagasaki. Anyway, i believe that official claim for damages wasnt possible, but if the ppl in hiroshima, nagasaki, pearl harbor or anywhere else which had seen war and loses their homes and infrastructure.. im sure they would be screaming for the damages to be paid by those who destroyed them. It is only fair and ethical and such law should be implemented i believe to prevent retribution and attacks for no good reason. doesnt everyone else out there believe so?

gaybob.. one can think my question as one sided.. but the fact remains that my question is the truth of whats happening. If its against anyone, then one has to deal with it.. unless if they cannot deal with the truth. You dont have to answer my question if u dont like it.. besides.. i believe ur answer is more one sided than my question can be. But that is just my opinion.

How about Germany and Japan?? If they paid everyone for the damages they caused during WWII, they'll both be dead broke.

Here is a decent answer for you. Why doesn't Israel make the countries supporting Hezbollah pay for their crimes against Israel? Why doesn't Israel make Hamas pay for their endless assault on Israeli civilians? Oh, right, they do. It is called fighting fire with fire. Maybe if Lebanon kicked Hezbollah out of their country, they wouldn't have gotten bombed. Same idea goes for Hamas as well. When you are at war with terrorism, there will be unfortunate consequences. When the Allieds defeated the Axis back in World War II, after the war was over, we helped the civilians rebuild their lives. Nobody ever made Germany pay for the damage done to France, Poland, etc. America never made Japan pay for the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We just gave them the same treatment they gave us.

No If Israel makes a decision to attempt this, then they are going to ask the U.S. for more beneficial than both billion they requested for very last 12 months. I as a U.S. not user-friendly operating taxpayer do not favor to pay for any more beneficial center east mistakes. enable them beat one yet another up over there for a lengthy time period and confirm it out on their personal for once or enable the U.N. deal with it, it truly is the corporate which may be dealing with the mess in Iraq.

If Lebanon would allow Israel to help in the rebuilding process I believe that Israel woud do so. Let's hope it happens; maybe a bit too soon for people to accept that yet though.

Remember, Hezbollah has been shooting rockets into Israel for months. That is one of the reasons Israel attacked Lebanon.

It's called war and yes it is intentional. Let's suppose someone broke into your house and killed a few of your family and kidnapped others and you go after him in his house and suppose he survives your retaliation do you pay for his damages?Welcome to the real world what damages do you suppose Hezbollah will pay?

In a word, no. This is the more superficial version of: who's responsible for the dead 'innocents'? Hezbollah.
If a thief holds a gun to my head, and by some dumb luck I punch his lights out – destroying his glasses – he's the one that's responsible for his damaged property.

Who is paying Israel for all the attacks on them every since the UN recognized their existence? If you want people to pay for war damages, Israel is owed mush more than they owe.
