I have had a period since I was eleven years old. I am now in my twenties almost thirties. I have been regular since the beginning (every twenty-eight days). My last period I was four days late. When I started it lasted eleven days four days later I was on it again now I am going on three days. I have taken pregenancy tests (3) and they have come out negative. Could I have miscarried. I went to my Doctor and he seems to think this is no big deal. But I know my body and something is not right. any help would be appreciated.

Shoot, when I hit my 30's I swear my body went plum crazy on me. lol So it could very be just be hormone adjustment as your body ages, you know? But I'm a big fan of "I know my own body"; I say if you're worried, then get a second opinion. Go to a different doctor.

Are you stressed? On birth control? I started getting mine at 12 and it was very heavy and lasted very long - i am now 32 (god - i've had that awful thing for 20 years now - sad anyway, i digress...) and it's only a few days and when i'm stressed out (school, work, life) it is late or gets screwy. I went three months last fall without a period and when i did get it again it was a few days here, a few days there - not very consistent. If you went to the 'woman dr' and he's not concerned, i'm guessing it wasn't a miscarraige - have a blood test done if you're overly concerned but try to stop worrying about it - give it a month or so and it should regulate itself. Good luck!

Right around my 30th birthday, I experienced the same changes. I was like clock-work. But then, somewhere along the line, the hormones changed. It was very unnerving. I was late, extra heavy (when I almost went to the emergency room, it scared me so much), very light, spotted, you name it. I thought there was something wrong with me too. Rest assured there is most likely nothing wrong with you.

Hang in there, it is strange to have your body change, but it will happen again several times. One thing that helped me was to get on the pill, even though I didn't need it, it regulated things and allowed me to have some piece of mind.

You could just have a hormone imbalance. Go to a doctor and explain to him that something is not normal with your body and ask him the check and see if this is what the problem is.

This happened to my friend in her 30's and it was nothing. Sometimes things like stress affect the menstrual cycle. Was the doctor a gynecologist?

I think you would know if you miscarried. A simple urine/blood test will show the hcg.

I think it's just that you're growing older, and your cycle is changing, mine did. I had endrometriosis and that was the culprit for my problems.

you problem got an infection girl, that's not normal. i sugest thatyou go to a doctor whoknows what he/she's doing you know. it can also be a miscarriage. that happened to my mom already, she had two miscarriages and she continued to bleed a few days later. Or it can be blood cloth, you know, when your blood is flowing properly, and when it finally does it blows out of proportion.

mmhm, sounds not normal. you probably need to see a gynaecologist. sometimes moving from your 20s into your 30s causes a slight change in your cycle, as it could be fibriods. Also, if you're black, no offense, but try to see a black gynae

I know the more my wife stresses the more her cycles get messed up. Try not to stress about it too much. That could cause you more problems.
