Either you can fly to Canada and then to Havana with Air Canada.
Also, you can try to fly to Cancun with Delta or any carrier that operates Non stop from there to CUN or, also via Mexico City.
Then, from there, take your flight with either Mexicana or Cubana to Havana.
Those are your options from an airline supervisor :)

You can get to Cuba from other gateways, caribbean or even north america ie. Canada. This is not taken lightly by the American government so you want to think very carefully about this. For all you know, this site could be monitored for anything malicious towards the states. CUBA maybe a trigger word, esp with 9/11 and all the security crack downs. As an American citizen, you could get in trouble with your government jut by expressing curiosity or a desire to go there. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!

Never had any desire to visit Cuba, too many other nice places in the Carribean...
You can get to Cuba from NYC "legally" by flying to Canada then taking a non-stop flight from Canada to Cuba...

The old man in Cuba is about to kick the bucket. You don't want to be there when that happens. You don't know what will happen, there could be a revolution or some sort of power struggle. I do have some good news... if you really want to be surrounded by all things Cuban you can go to the best Cuban city in the world, and it's not communist.... it's Miami !!!!!

I haven't been myself but Ive had several friends from NYC who have. They had to book a flight in Canada You might have to go to Quebec or Montreal first. You could check out if you can go through some of the islands near cuba. Contact the cuban consulate in Canada. Good luck...Ive heard it's a beautiful place.

Your closest routing will be through Canada. On your return to the US you will be detained by Customs and then turned over to Homeland Security for investigation as a potential terrorist. When they are finished you be turned over to the State Department for charges over your illegal trip to Cuba. Better you should stay home and work to change the official sore loser attitude to the CIA support of the Castro revolution.
