Yes.. I've done it and had to get over my initial anxiety I felt. It was a bit ackward for me at first, but this was the person I had intmately talked to on the phone for months. Sometimes outside appearances don't truly shine until you've actually given the person a chance and you see their inner beauty. Seriously, personality affects outward appearance and the longer you are around the person the more beautiful they become. That relationship lasted 4 years.. and I don't regret a moment of it.

What about a girl doing the same thing? What if a guy she's been talking to seems way cool- sweet, easy going then he finally sends a picture and he looks like Manson. Scary. Would you still meet him?

By all means. You have heard the old saying, "you can't judge a book by its cover" Well, the same thing for a boy or girl. Looks is nice, but I would rather have a ugly girl with all the nice things you would expect from a lady than a beautiful woman that acts like a b----.!

I would play down the meeting thing so you can stay friends and talk online. However, if she really wants to just meet her and bring some of your friends so she can become part of the group instead of your girlfriend. If she's an interesting person but you really aren't attracted to her, you can hopefully avoid a relationship while maintaining her friendship.

I'll say the honest truth .. I've had couple of great chats, but when i saw the picture .. i gradually did not care.
But I felt bad because they could have been good friends to chat regardless, but I doubt if i would meet them or date.

yeah. if you had a good conversation with her, and you get along. If you did that then you would be superficial and judgemental. She might turn out to be the best girl. But then you would have to describe not very pretty to me....what you do if the tables were turned? would you meet him?

well I'm a nice guy but never really meet a girl in person from on line. but if you weren't honest on the way you look then no i would not meet you. but if you were honest then sure i would meet you. meaning if you described your self diffrent then what you really looked then no i would'nt want to meet her.

It depends on how "not very pretty" she is, how much I like her, and what my purpose is. Weight can be a big issue (no pun intended), but a plain face isn't. Character is way more important. -yk
