What one person has contributed the most to the musical world?

In your opinion, who has contributed the most to the musical world? Putting aside genres and personal favorites, I'm talking about honest to goodness talent, doesn't matter whether the person is alive or dead. What will they be remembered for in 50 years? Their musical contribution or what scandals they were in?

In my opinion, no one person can be given the credit to having the most contribution. all the above, and most likely below, answers are biased depending on what the answerer is familiar with or likes. if anyone is to be given this credit, it cannot be anyone in recent times, because music now is only a mesh of the person's influences.

ELVIS. Looks AND Talent. He was good at singing a variety of Music, from Rock--To Religious. He attracted a variety of audiences, "Young and Old" alike. Not too many Rock Stars can beat that. He Loved his Fans. He was Generous. He gave some back to the Public, what was given to him.

Ray Charles he basically provided most of the inspiration for Rock'n'Roll. and he was in the music buisness from 1949-2004. 55 years longer than most other people.

he did take heroin but BUT elvis took drugs, johnny cash, nat king cole, margie hendricks, jimi hendrix, bob marley, and the beatles this is a very big list of people. In the music buisness many musicians consiedered drugs to give them an edge or supply their inspiration/lyrics.
