i have been stockpiling supplies to survive because of this gut feeling something bad will happen soon. a lot of people seem to be doing the same. usa keeps meddling in the worlds affairs and i believe in the near future terrorists are going to temporarily cause us serious harm. if our way of life is seriously disrupted i believe it will be like the los angelos riots or katrina where thugs take over the streets.temporarily we will have to survive on our own. if something bad does happen and we are not ready it will be to late. im from north louisiana and every store was empty of water flashlights batteries bread candles. superwalmart included, and that happened in one day.tell me if you have any feelings lately of a catastrophe happening.

I'd like to say that we have Bush, it can't get any worse--but that's not true. The man is so very dangerous that something terrible may happen and he will be responsible for it. He is the most dangerous person in the world today.

I come from the school that it is better to be prepared and have nothing happen than be un-prepared and have disaster strike. What people don't realize is that is exactly why the United States has taken such a strong stance against terrorism, we are not immune and terrorist hate us and millions like us because we do not believe the way that they do. They spread their ill with hate and terror and their is no reasoning with them. I don't think under this President that we will be attacked again, but than again 2008 is another election year and if we don't remain strong in our resolve, it could happen. That's just my opionion. Hey save some water and batteries for me, I live in Northwest Florida, we had two cat 3's go right over our heads in the past two years. EWWWW!

No way Dude. Ease up. It is good to stock up on emergency supplies. But any "disaster" will be localized to a region like Katrina was and will not affect 300 million Americans directly. 9/11 was terrible but was a chipped fingernail in comparison to a catastrophic event. Sure, many many innocent and brave people perished but because it was NYC and Americans it became horrific and memorable. Everyday however the same stuff happens all over the world in distant ignored places to people we do not know and will never know. And life goes on. As a species, humans will never be wiped out. We are like ants, you will nevr be able to exterminate all of us.

it is possible. anything is possible.people during the cold war built bombshelters and stockpiled food. why should now be any different. Im fortunate because my parents have been stockpiling since 911. Do I think something bad will happen. eventually maybe tomarrow maybe in 100 years but it never hurts to be prepared. I just hope that what ever does happen we (the people) will preservere through it and come out as better people.

Its like waiting for the other shoe to drop, the possibility is there for something to happen. We have a summer farm up in the mountains north of Scottsdale AZ where we live,we have done drills with how fast we can get our horses loaded and to the mountains(we own an Arabian horse farm)The farm there is stocked with food weapons supplies ets,we have our own generators,we are not alone in our preparedness, there are about 150 of us that have property up there and we have room for all of us and our employees and their families. We aren't thinking it will come ,tomorrow ,or next week ,but there will come a time to use this place to escape ciaos and defend it from intruders.Of course we are optimistic but we are prepared
Call us fools and alarmist if you wish but we know what we are doing, what will you do in times of war on our shores,or disasters.remember the Government did little for Katrina and its victims.Laugh if you want,I am a realist.

I agree with you...we are on the verge of something major happening to disrupt our nice, free lives here in the USA. It is biblical. The terrorists are plotting 24/7 to make the ultimate sacrifice and destroy the US. It is very scary but I say it's better to be prepared than to be caught with your pants down so to speak. You can feel the tension in the world right now! All we can do is pray & be vigilant!

I'm with you all the way on this one. All we have to do is look at the signs all around us. Something big is about to happen. I can almost feel it in the air. Either we're going to be hit with another terrible terrorist attack soon, or world war 3 is going to break out. My personal conviction about this is, that it's really the Illuminati behind all of this, trying to establish their new world order police state.

I honestly try not to think about it. I used to be overwhelmed with thoughts like that as a child, and I lived in constant fear.
Now I am of the mind that if its going to happen, and there's nothing I can do to change it, then I can't let myself worry to death about it.
That's only my view, but it works for me.
