all the answers are good. the area of a triangle is always 1/2 the area of a rectangle with the same length for the base and height. so the rectangle would have an area of 3*9, or 27 and the triangle would have an area 1/2 that, or 13.5.

formula of area of a triangle is 1/2 x base x height..so,

= 1/2 x base x height
= 1/2 x 3 x 9
= 1/2 x 27
= 27/2
= 13.5

The area is 13 and a half.

To work out the area of a triangle you multiply the length of the base by the height and divide by 2.

Base = 3. Height = 9

3 x 9 = 27

27 divided by 2 = 13 and a half.
