Yes, it is sad what happened.........but the media is OBSESSED with it, and that is SICK. The hours and hours they have devoted to this one girl could be devoted instead to ALL the missing children in the United States right now, don't you think?

Yes, I totally agree with you. She isn't the only child that has been murdered. I feel bad for her family but other families as well. Other families should get the same amount of investigation for their children as the Ramsey's had

I think the matter of her being in those beauty shows may have spurred the media on to want to tell the public how dangerous putting one's pretty little girl can be. In the case of the other children its possible their parents didn't do anything in particular that anyone could point to and say it may have contributed to the child's being at risk. I think that's what got the case the intial wide-spread attention, and then I think the public got interested because they wanted to know what happened - and the media accommodated that interest. I think any other child's case that was made that public would have gotten as much interest.

While I was as guilty as many people for paying attention to the news stories when it first happened I've never been one to be too obsessed with it; still, now, after all this time, I think its reasonable that people are anxious to learn if this guy is the real killer. If some guy confessed to any one of those other child murders and was extradited etc., there would be equal interest to whether he was a legitimate suspect or not.

You feel this way because you don't have a personal connection with the case. That is the self-centered nature of humans. If it were your child, the law enforcement could not do enough to bring justice for you. Everyone in this situation complains that there is never enough being done.

Just turn it off like the rest of the world.

My prayer is that you never find yourself in their shoes.

I've also seen more of it that I need to. I didn't like the fact that tax payers flew this kook in and let have have wine and prawns. Seems a little to generous for a self confessed pdophile. I also think the way that little girl was dressed was a discrace.

I'm sick of alot of the media coverage, they tend to ride a dead horse to the ground. Be warned, the coverage of Chapter 3 to the Jon Benet case has just begun, one can only hope that it will not continue another 10 years.

I was tired of it before..... am tired of it now. It was interesting for like the first day or two, but as usual, the media goes into overkill.

p.s. does anybody realize that there is a war going on????

If it was your kid, I'm sure you would want closure, there is a search for a killer, we may have one, if not, then the case is unsolved - but, I like to hear more about how many US soldiers die in Iraq, everyday.
