I know. Dip it in a extremely spicy Mexican hot sauce. It worked for me for a while, until I get addicted to hot sauce. Now I am back to square one. :-)

Rub hot chilli juice or paste on them. Then whenever you bite them, you'll taste the chilli and it'll remind you to stop. I used to have a big nail biting problem a few years ago, and this method helped me stop fully (and not start again) after about 2 weeks.

I used to bite my nails too...I tried everything I could think of (putting band-aids on my fingers, bad tasting nail polish, etc etc) but the only yhing that has worked is getting acrylic nails. they look really nice, and when I'm tempted to bite them (which is almost never now!) they don't break!

My advise is to have a full set of nails put on. Each time you raise your hand to your mouth you will see how pretty your hands look and won't bite them! Besides, it's not Lady-Like to bite your nails!

Everytime you bite your nails..put a $1 bill in a jar..
That should do the trick..
oh..and don't take the money out what so ever until you have officially stopped.

i had the same problem...i had acrylic nails for a few months then when i got them off, noticed how long and pretty my nails were, and because i had gotten so used to not being able to bite into the acrylic, i had no desire to bite my nails anymore! try it!

Sounds like you have an oral fixation. Either chew gum or think of this:

When you touch things, debris goes under your nail... like toilet paper fuzz, dirt and oil from your own skin after scratching an itch. All that crap goes into your mouth when you bite your fingernails.

Unless you like eating toilet paper debris, dirt, etc... just chew gum.

Try getting a good set of false nails applied...they'll look so good you won't want to ruin them by biting them.

I've heard clear nail polish. It's supposed to taste like crap.
