I agree with Silver Streak, but the Producers and Young Frankenstien are up there on my list too. He is a great actor!

Gene's early films were far and away his best. It's tough to top "The Producers," "Blazing Saddles," and "Young Frankenstein," but I think my favorite is the 1970 comedy "Start the Revolution Without Me," a French Revolution riff on Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors." Both Wilder and Donald Sutherland play sets of identical twins who were mixed up at birth. One set (one Gene, one Donald) were raised as aristocrats, while the other set were raised as peasants. HYSTERICALLY funny stuff.

He's not really the star, but "Blazing Saddles" hands down...Gene's great in it...but the movie overall is IMHO one of the funniest ever
