Flo-Jo. I can't forget the way she smiled in the middle of a race. She never failed a drugs test, but I think few people still believe she was really clean throughout her whole career. Anyway. RIP.

You aren't really surprised about Marion Jones, are you ?
She was toast in my book a long time ago.
There are so few athletes I both respect and believe are in a sport that permits playing by the rules.
And I am a 'by hook or crook' kind of guy, anyway.
I think Lawrence Taylor handled all of his coke stuff correctly - he didn't apologize - he just went on beep-laden tirades in front of the cameras. He wouldn't get so many mulligans today, though.
And "Juicing" is an arbitrary construct. It has been moved around and will move around.
What about caffeine ?
What if you slept in a hypo-baric chamber ?
If I were going to take an 'absolute' position on it, I would have to disqualify anyone who has ever ingested any substance that is not naturally occurring. Since even our raw veggies today are genetic freaks (they were a long time ago - just through seed selection) nobody is eligible. If you want to argue that one, then anyone who has had any vaccinations is also out.
Since we are all guilty already, I would not be disappointed if anyone at all were proven to be 'juicing' illegally.
The 'natural' person (thus athlete) does not exist.
He or she never has.

Lance Armstrong. I just had a conversation with a friend about Floyd Landis tonight, and inevitably we talked about Armstrong too. I admire what Armstrong has done and laud him for his dedication in the face of what he had to overcome. If I learned that he won by cheating, it would destroy all credibility in sports for me. Other heroes I'd hate to see exposed are Cal Ripken Jr and Mohamed Ali.

nobody. these people have no bearing on my life. i enjoy watching baseball and hockey. disappointment means that you actually CARE for someone. i care for the game, not the players. sad to say this, but...in this day and age...i just figure they are all doing something...it's just whether or not they get CAUGHT.
besides i have more important things to worry about...like my husband overseas, and my three children. if i was married and had a child with one of theses athletes..yeah, id care.

I do not care, I think it has been a part of sports for so long it has been integrated into the games, like it or not.
The ancient greeks doped and there has been no stopping since then.

Lance Armstrong.
He made America proud for many years, and was just an all out nice guy too.
