I have been taking care of my mom & 2 brothers for a few years. One brother is handicapped. My other brother has been looking for a full time job for the past 4 yrs. He can't seem to find one. He's well educated and has a MBA. Is there anyone out there that can help him? Please! :)

Helping Friends Career Network helps well educated professionals to find jobs.. It is a job leads board and network. Join via Yahoo and introduce what he does and what type of job, in what location... Then start looking at the resources in the eNews Job Leads Newsletter.

For self help resources, reference the A-Z Career Guide with Best Companies for ___ types of situations, job boards that have helped thousands others find work, etc.

Hi!

If he has any special interests at all, seeing as he is well educated with an MBA, he should consider starting his own business with SiteBuildIt. SBI provides all the tools needed to go from choosing your domain to the last step of monetizing. He should be able to make a very nice content site about business, getting an MBA, etc. If he has any other interests or hobbies, he should go for it. Just make sure your brother makes a living with something he loves, because that is crucial.

Take him down to your department of Labor. Their are many programs. Have him make an appointment to see a career counsler. He can attend some work shops and go through mock interviews.

Have him register with some temporary agencies.

If he has a pulse he should be able to get at least some kind of menial job. It does not have to define him or be what he does for the rest of his life. But he should be able to get at least something. I'd level with him. He's got to work nights, or mornings or what ever. He can be a waiter or a greeter at walmart or what ever. You might have to toss him out and show him some tough love. At the very least he should be keeping your place neater than ever!

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

He may have to look for a job in a different field. The market is not great for a person that age. Also maybe try looking in other cities.
