Before a got this laptop i had always black line on my monitor on the bottom and the top.But it's ok,it was a 4:3 monitor.Now i have widescreen but i still have those lines. If i set up the aspect ratio to 16:9 on VLC player the pictures gets distorted.How to set it up?

Unfortunately, whomever captured the movie capture the black lines (letterboxing) as well as the movie in the file.

The file itself is 4:3 aspect ratio. You'll need to use a program like TMPGEnc to re-encode the movie while stripping out the letterboxing.

i dont think u can i think those lines will always be there ur best bet is to zoom in on the picture

you cant. only thing you can do is run full screen dvds to avoid the black lines
