There are challenge and response system programs for e-mails: messages from senders not in your address book or on an approved list will not go to your inbox. Instead, the sender is asked to confirm the e-mail. Once the sender responds, the original message is delivered. Since spammers do not have time to reply, spam messages will not be delivered.

Three popular challenge and response programs are:
Qurbhttp://www.qurb.com
Vanquish Anti-Spamhttp://www.vanquish.com
WinAntiSpamhttp://www.winantispam.com/

I have to disagree with the kernel. There is a way to lose the Spam and junk mail. See the private email system (Icorr) at http://viabruce.newnetmail.com . Its FREE and you can share it with all your friends for free. If anyone upgrades to extra features you can earn money. Only email addresses that you have registered in your account can send mail to your box. Great for family and friends. I keep my regular email for online purchases and sign ups.

get gmail. its by invitation only, so if anyone sends too much junk, they, and the person who invited them, get booted. filters work too. the filters on hotmail and yahoo mail will never work no matter how many times you tell it its junk or spam.

As long as you have any kind of e-mail..you are going to get that stuff..There is no way to completly stop it. Other than that do not have any kind of e-mail address.
