Has anyone read The Black Jewels Series, by Ann Bishop?

YES!!! I love this series! I tried to read her other series, but I couldn't find all of them, and so gave up. I read "The Black Jewels" and she published a collection of three short stories called "Dreams Made Flesh" that explains more about what happened to Jaenelle's ( I can't remember the spelling) powers after she lost her Jewels. Why do you ask?

Yes, it is goosepumps good. Alas I can't name any other title or series that good.
