I would create my own charity to make darn sure the money gets past the greed and corruption of most of today's charitable organizations. Somehow, I would want to help the less fortunate children of the world with education and food.

A charity called 'The Jennifer Trust'. It helps Children with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a terrible and terminal Muscle wasting disease, and their families too. I lost two boys with this awful condition and didn't know where to turn. They helped me greatly. They also do a lot for research into finding a cure for all these precious children. It is based in Stratford-on Avon but helps anyone in need of their help!

it would have to be the douglas mcmillan hospice/cancer research,my mother-in-law sadly passed away 2 years ago from brain tumours, and she had the best possible care anyone could ask for,it is charity run and better than the nhs, they really care about their patients, they are angels,i know she passed away in peace, knowing that people cared, too many people are dying because of this illness, there needs to be more money for more research, and to all you heartless people out there who wouldnt give to charity, just think it could happen to a member of your family or to you yourself, dont just answer cos you want 2 points;-(

You know I have come about this question over an over lots of time before..but If i came into money I would help out my own family...because within our own family we have people that are suffering and they let no one know because of their pride..we have some that need medicine and have no money...we have some that cant pay their water bill because they have no money...We have some that cannot afford groceries and we donot know ...and I get so upset because other family members know and dont let other know... so maybe we can help them ...that is what makes me mad ...That is what I would do wth my money..set aside college fund for my family that cannot go because they cannot afford it...So We need to clean under our own rugs before we can go and clean out others houses...

There are several organizations I am proud of. The first is one that I was involved with for several years called Action House under Spotlight Ministries where a team of young ministers go to your church and teach your people how to set up a program that provides a venue for your youth to reach out to the youth of your community using music and skits, etc., Its a fun atmosphere that grows a youth group rapidly and provides opportunities for youth to learn evangelism at home.
The second is another ministry I was involved with called Living Waters where they minister to homosexuals. They help them understand the issues that gives them gender confusion and lead them to healthy gender identity.
The third is known as Shake the Nations where youth are taken around the world to minister in large groups to indigenous people through evangelism and building programs for churches and orphanages, etc.,
The fourth is known as Gospel for Asia where they support with printed materials, Bibles, transportation, and other funding for indigenous pastors to minister to their own people. Very successful.
The fifth is Voice of the Martyrs. They get the word around the world where Christians are being persecuted for their faith. Most of them are found in largely Muslim nations, Inda and China.
Bringing the Jews home to Israel and supporting their establishment there. I'm sure they are also helping them recover from the recent aggression by Hezbollah.

I'd divide my cash up between several underdog charities--such as helping abused women and children, animal rights, and organizations for freedom of religion, as I am a pagan.
