iam 40weeks pregnant and 2 days and was wondering...has anyone had there baby around this time..??..because this is my first..!

I went exactly 3 weeks over my due date. Not a fun time.It depends on your doctor, I saw midwives that said as long as the baby was not in danger they wouldn't induce. I had an 11lb 23 1/2 in baby! Also sonograms aren't off by weeks, and I knew my conception date and the sonogram confirmed this. Good Luck!

I'm 39 weeks on my first pregnancy and all my doctors and midwvies like to remind me that it's very common for a first pregnany to go 7-10 days over due. Don't worry though, they won't let you go more than 10 to 14 days over depending on your progress, they'll induce you.

You could be off on the dates by as much as a month but if you keep track of your periods closely and know for a fact that you are overdue talk to your doc about scraping.S/he can do this on the next visit and it may just do the trick. Good Luck.

I had my first baby at 37 weeks and a few days...not all pregnancies in every woman is the same.

I had my first child at 42 weeks (induced) and everything was fine-although he was a bit on the big side.

do not worry unless over a week goes by. If you go that far the Doctors will induce.
