If a Middle Eastern man with a full beard is boarding my plane at the same time as an 80-year old white woman, I think the man would warrant tighter scrutiny. I think many ethnic minorities would agree with me here.

If a white male 5ft 8" killed someone is it racial profiling to check these descriptions out when looking for him. No If a black male 5ft'7'' did same is that racial profiling looking at all with that description. No Same thing goes for descriptions of an Asian or Mexican. Since most terrorist extremists are Arabs I cannot see that is is profiling to look at these people more scrutiny than other races. Other Muslims need to speak out more against the terrorists and turn them in when they are suspicious of them. We have been naive to welcome them to our country for the last 30 yrs and overlook suspicious behaviors but it was the political correct thing to do. A certain amount of them came with the intent to ruin our life as we have known it and kill all the innocent people they can. To turn a blind eye to what is happening all over the world is asking for more of the same.

But no one is. Thats why they stop little old ladys at the airport because their so terrified of being accused of racially profiling. Its only wrong if their doiing it for persoanal reasons, or they disregard others of equal suspicion. THe fact is that radical muslims tend to be arab. I'm not saying all arabs are radical or a terriost but most terriosts are middle eastarn.

Race, height, weight, mode of dress, etc are all kinds of information that help us make better judgements. If we can't use our descriptors to find someone for whatever reason (to help or capture for example). We are handicapping ourselves to be p.c. Stereotypes have some truth when applied to any group; they just can't blind us when we are assessing an individual. Judgement can be a good word! Our reasoning is helped by the judgements that we make as long as we don't maintain them in a bigoted fashion which ignores the qualities of individuals.

Its not the little old ladies that are trying to kill us. PROFILING is needed. I bet you would change your mind and even hate the Gov. if a love one of yours died in a plane and the gov. had not done some thing.

Wrong when it is used to harm someone, right when it is used to keep someone from harming others.
