Hey,

I was in the exact situation as you two years ago.

I only wore eyeliner on the bottom and eye shadow
that definatly makes your eyes pop

I also recommend NYC pencil and it depends on your eye color but a goldish look worked for me, I have eyes that change from blue to green.

DO NOT use any other product from NYC other than that and the eyelash curler

btw Mascara is okay too, especially if you have an eyelash curler... looks awesome.

dont get into foundation until you need it, it'll only cause you to break out and then your going to need more of it to cover up your zits.

Trust me, you probably shouldn't be wearing makeup right now. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it because you are 13, but because you probably look beautiful without it and you just don't realize it. However if you insist, I would only use an eye pencil to line your eyes. Please be sure it is the pencil liner, liquid eyeliner on young girls looks to harsh because they don't know how to blend/smooth the line. I can't recommend a color because you didn't specify your eye color. As far as brands, Maybelline is an exceptional product for young girls. I really wouldn't suggest you try any eye shadow just yet, hang in there for another year or two. And if you want you could also use some of the lightly colored glosses for you lips. No lipstick ; and you will need to consult with someone because the color gloss you choose will have to complement your complexion. Good luck with your journey into the land of cosmetics and if you are ever in doubt,(even when you start to use blush, powder, and the whole nine yards) the basic rule is: LESS rather than MORE!

If i were you I'd just wear just the slightest amount of brown eyeliner ( i recommend Maybelline), brown/black mascera (Full 'n Soft[ which is a brand by maybelline] or Covergirl), lip gloss (get lip gloss from the store Forever21) , maybe a little eye shadow (try shadow from The Icing in neutral tones ) - and you're set. There is no need to over-do it with foundation and powders and all that stuff. Good luck- and hope this helps!

Here is what i suggested for my niece about your age. If you can, go to the mall where there is a Macy's or a Nordy's make-up counter. Take either your mom, and ask her to wait nicely, or another adult women. Ask the nice ladies at the counter for some suggestions, if you can find one of the older ladies. They can help you find colors that bring out your eyes and how to apply it properly. Then go to a Walmart or Target and find similar colors in the "inexpensive" brands. Maybelinne and Cover girl are both pretty good.

Other than that, like the rest of us you will just have to experiment.

Remember: Never share your eyeliner, lipstick or mascara. Always replace those items every 6 - 12 months. They can carry bacteria and fungus that can lead to nasty infections.

I agree that you are a little young to use a foundation. But it does depend on what kind of skin you have. If you have a severe skin problem such as acne or discoloration I suggest using a light weight foundation that allows your skin to breath. But if your skin is healthy (no blemishes or acne) I would skip the foundation.

The main reason is that you're going through puberty, and your hormone levels tend to fluctuate. So foundation could clog your pores and make your skin more prone to breakouts. But I would suggest buying a tinted moisturizer. They give your skin a natural glow, plus they have sunscreen in them which is important in preventing sun damage and wrinkles.

To make your eyes prettier; buy good mascara that thickens and lengthens your lashes and some earth toned eye shadows. (coppers, sands, golds, tans, browns) If you want different colors such as blues and greens, buy them in neutral shades (not bright or neon colors); and apply them lightly. For your cheeks buy a tone that gives your skin a natural flush. (Usually an earth toned color) And use tinted or clear lip-gloss.

Remember your big concern should be to look beautiful, but still youthful.

i'm 13 too. All you want is a touch of gray eyeliner on appropriate and bottom, some brown mascara, concealer and powder. per chance some blush if the powder evens your pores and skin out too a lot, yet make sure the blush received't make you seem as if a clown. also lip gloss is solid. only purchase each and every little thing at objective, maybelline and covergirl are particularly solid manufacturers for me. And your mom will be able of tutor you ideas to positioned each and every little thing on good. solid success!

I would suggest using a thin line of natural looking brown eyeliner (I use CoverGirl Outlast in Espresso) with clear mascara (CoverGirl) on curled lashes. Also wear some clear lip gloss or one with a natural looking tint. The key to makeup is to make it look like you're really not wearing any. Don't make the mistake of using a lot of weird colors on your face like a lot of other girls do when they're just learning how to wear makeup.

Well cleansed, toned and moisturised skin should be gorgeous and glowing in itself without the need for foundation. However, if you really can’t go bare, apply a lightweight foundation like Miss Sporty So Matte foundation ($1.99) and use a damp cosmetic sponge for a more natural result.

To control shine, apply a light dusting of translucent powder to the areas that are prone to melting, like your forehead, nose and chin. Or why not carry some anti-shine blotting paper like T-Zone’s No Shine Papers for on the go action?

While coloured lippie is great for a full on glam look, it can look too bold for a natural babe. Apply a sheer gloss like Boots 17 Dazzle Shine Lipgloss ($3.49) in Bubbly for the most kissable lips around.

Make the most of your eyes by simply defining with a brown kohl pencil, following your natural lash line. Accentuate your lashes by applying a coat of brown mascara (black can look too harsh) like Rimmel Volume Flash Mascara ($4.99) and remember to comb through to avoid any yucky clogs.

A light dusting of blusher in the apple of your cheeks is all you need for a rosy glow – you should look slightly flushed instead of out of puff! To get a natural finish, smile hard and apply the colour in the fleshy part of your cheeks. We love Natural Collection Creamy Cheek Colour ($2.49) in Pink Blush.
