I just want to know if you can keep the two types of fish together...

Neons need soft acid water with a pH of around 6.5 to stay healthy. Mollies are brackish water fish and need salt in their water at a ratio of one teaspoon of salt to one gallon of water.

Both are tropical fish and need temp in range of 72-78 degrees. But the salt is the difference. If you change the water for one, the other will suffer and eventually sicken and die. There is really no happy medium for these two species.

a school of neons received't fit in a 10 gallon tank thats already overstocked with guppies, ghost shrimp, platies, and mollies. Platies and mollies must have extra salt of their water, as well as a 30 gallon tank or more effective. what number guppies do you've? Do you've any women which could probably produce extra? except that, think ofyou've got a school of 6 neons alongside with some ghost shrimp, yet no extra in a 10 gallon tank.

many different breeds of fish are compatible. but not all are. mollies and neon tetras are both peaceful fish, but i don,t advise keeping them in the same tank. mollies need a lot more alges and plants to do their best. try small angelfish(my favorite) guppies and neon tetras you might get away with a pair of dwarf gramies in the same tank, but dwarf grauies are very shy it may not work in some cases, however i,ve had very good luck with these fish togather
