In the movies, when people either make love or get d, are the actors really doing it or is it some illusion or some other way?

The kissing, the touching and the cuddling parts, they have to do for real for it to look seamless from the screen. As for the actual doing it, then they just pretend they are doing it already. For obvious reasons, of course. :)

It is only real in adult movies. I watched an interview with Billy Bob Thorton where he was talking about the sex scene in Monsters Ball and he said it was very uncomfortable PRETENDING to do it with one of the most beautiful women on the earth.

Yes. they really do it. But not without getting paid big time. Example Pamela Anderson, and Angelina Jolie. to mention a few. It's true it's true.
