it sounds like spyware or virus to me.run some scans to see.if not then you have pc troubles.

First off, NOT EVERY PC PROBLEM IS A VIRUS, it cracks me up that the first thought or first thing out of someone's mouth is "it's a virus" or "it's spyware"... Come on People, Do not Panic.. You need to stop shutting it down by the button on the Tower, it is NOT Good for your harddrive to spin that quickly with programs trying to close, this is probably your problem, you have done it enough that you have worn out the button, ALWAYS Shut the PC down from the Start, Shut Down Option, that is what it's there for.....

it seems that u have adjusted the setting of the power bottun
to restore it back do the following
right click on an empty space on the desktop and choose proprtiesthe display properties window wil appear
click on the tab called screen saver, in lower part there will be a botton called power, click on it
there is a window named "power options properties" will appear
click on the advanced tab
in the middle something called power button
under it there is something called " when i press the power button on my computer:"
choose in this drop menu shut down

basiclly when u r pressing the power button ur invoking the restart command. rather u should shutdown ur machine through the start menu http://www.corpseo.com
