Yep, we recycle. We have to pay for extra garbage. I love it. I am living in the burbs now, but when I was in Toronto we have a great composting program. Was soo easy. I can't imagine not recycling. When my friend from NY comes to visit I am constantly picking through my garbage, pulling stuff out. Where do you live? I am under the impression that Americans don't recycle as much as Canadians. I could be wrong, only have the one American friend.

Right now I only recycle paper. I used to recycle cans but the nearest can place is 15 miles from here. I don't know where I could recycle glass etc. I think we should all recycle as much as we can.

I really believe in recycling, and have always done so in the past, but, now I live way out in the country, where all my neighbors are horses and deer and fox. There is no recycling here at all. There are places "in town" to take your recyclables, but they are not convenient to get to. Yes, I do feel guilty. I AM, a member of four FreeCycle clubs on Yahoo. Do you know what that is?

We don't have curb side recycling, but we do have recylce facility in our town - so we separate our recyclable plastics, cardboard, metals, glass, and paper - then when my husbands gets the bins in our shop filled, we load up the truck and haul 'em to town. It's saved how much trash we actually have to put on the curb. We also started composting so that we wouldn't have to buy garden compost, humus, and such. It's saved a bundle of money and my husband finds it occupies his time now that we are both home.

They do not offer a recycling program in our area. However, we, as a household, try to recycle at least aluminum cans. We probably don't do near as much as we should.

I do aluminum cans also all newspaper goes to the recycler. Cans and glass can be done but they need to have labels removed and washed.
I think this is a waste of water. I should do plastic but so far it is too much trouble.

perchance it extremely is actual that people who purchase for eco-friendly, organic and organic or recycled products desire to maintain the Earth and do something solid. yet for the businesses and the shops who sell those products, their aims is to make funds first, shop the earth 2d. they are not charity or non-income businesses. the value of merchandise is desperate via the value, plus the marketplace grant/call for circumstances. In cases whilst greater people desire to purchase recycled products the value might very properly is going up, till the manufacturers over produce or the shop overstock the products - there are too many of the products and no physique desire them. The conventional comsumer products shop on with this rule. there is not any explanation why the eco-friendly products or recycled products do no longer.
