you see bottles on trees? In the movies you see where people put bottles on tree limbs. My mom says it means something symbolic and i thought it was something to do with gardening. i am not positive but i think it is done more in the southern states. Does anyone know why people do that?

if its what I'm thinking,we here in the south will kill a certain kind of bug that way,and also i have made bird feeders out of a 3 liter pop bottle and hand them in trees

i once saw in harriet the spy, this lady had a whole bunch of stuff like bottles and garbage hanging from her trees. its just expressing themselves, maybe spirtually.

when a southern preacher was asking for money, he told the congregation "money doesn't grow on trees".
They thought he said "honey", so in trying to prove him wrong, they started stringing up honey bottles on maple trees.
It means they ain't givin' no mo to da church.

if you put a 2 liter soda bottle over a twig where an apple is growing but only a bud then it will grow in the bottle and it looks cool.

I think its for both the reasons that they give off relaxing noises when they chime in the wind and if they are colourful they look fantastic when the sun hits them and refracted tays danse along the trees.

i think is just to brings their dreams to reality by doing this.if for example something happend to that bottle which they have putted ,it means their problem will be solved soon...
