How many of you teen agers on here asking quistions about sex and pregnancy think you are actually mentally mature enough to be having sex?

Yes sir I was and I had my first child at the age of 17. I was no where near mature enough. Even though at the time I attended high school, work, and college classes full time.

Im not judging. But in searching for quistions today I found many 13-15 year old girls wanting to know if they are pregnant cause there boyfriend fingered them. And so on. My quistion is in hopes of catching a teenagers attention and making them think before the drop trow. I was 17 when I had my oldest and I will never regret it but I sure wish I had waited and I was mature enough to have sex. I took every precaution available and still got pregnant. Its not my place to judge anyway. But who says I cant ask what I think is a rational quistion?

I totally agree with you. All these questions are absolutely rediculous! I'm 15 and to think all of these girls my age are possibly pregnant, and don't even know how to tell if they are. It's scary. I cannot imagine myself mentally ready to be a mother for at least another 5 years. And my plan is to get married first and be financially stable before I try to bring another life into this world. I wish these girls, and the boyfriends who are getting them pregnant, would grow up a bit! Keep telling it like it is!

Well I think that being 13 to 15 years of age is a little bit to young but i can't say much im 17 and have a 4 month old, but I was prepared and I was mature enough. I'm sure not a lot of girls are ready for the responsibilites, they think they can do , but they dont ever relize how hard it really is. I juggle school work full time andn my baby with out the father it's hard and i think people need to relize that.

I'm 16 and just found out today I'm pregnant... I don't think I am mature enough.. I used to think I was all mature and old enough to be messing around. But this is to all you young girls out there, it CAN happen to you! And no, you cannot possible be mature enough to have sex or have children this early... Abortion is wrong and there will never be a mandatory law....

I had sex for the first time at the age of 14, worst mistake of my life. I look back now and wonder, what if i would have gotten pregnant?!! I had my first child at 18, just out of high school. I graduated on may 22, son born, july 29. I don't regret my son but i really wish i would have waited. alot of these teen girls don't understand the price of being a teen mom. i was a senior but i missed, homecomming, parties, prom. it's not easy. and trust me some boys don't stay because you are having their baby.

I was I grew up alot faster than most :) If you have to grow up at 6 then you pretty much are an adult and sometimes with me are alot more mature than most. I had a wanderful life and still do almost four kids later :) But alot of teens have a horrible, hard life. But then again alot of adults are the same and no better than a child raising another child.

I truly believe that teenagers are not mature enough to be having sexual relationships. Sex has consequences. Not to mention the emotional turmoil it can cause for a young person not ready for an adult relationship, it can cause unwanted pregnancies and std's including HIV. Until you are in a committed relationship, preferably a marriage, sex is not a good idea. Yes, it is pleasurable. But it is for those who are mature enough to handle it. Choosing our partners wisely, using protection for pregnancy as well as stds, and the maturity to deal with the consequences if those protections fail, as they sometimes do. Abstinence is best.

Well I'll say if they were mature they would have sense enough to wear protection. Sex is nothing to play with it has consequences if you don't have a mature mind about it. STD's and early pregnancy is not what a teen want to deal with. So to all you teen out there Stop, Think, Wrap it up!

They're mature enough to ask the questions instead of continuing to be ignorant which is atleast something. Sometimes it's embarassing to ask questions about sex to people you're close to for fear of looking stupid. I think it's a good thing that teenagers have a place to ask questions and not feel embarassed.
