Okay, when I was in second grade, my dad moved to California. I live in Indiana. ANd he wouldn't give me his address, only a P.O. Box. Now that I'm older I think its because he didn't want my mom get child support from him. IS there anyway my mom could get child support from my dad if he has no job and I don't know his home address. He was ordered to pay $100 a month, when I was one, but he has never once payed it. But he wants me to do him all types of favors. And he talks about my mom badly, event though if it weren't for her, I don't know where'd I'd be right now.

all you need it his social security number and a place of employment. the local child services office will do the rest.
he will be charged for years of back support and if he does not pay in a timely manner he could face jail time. that is if he is in a state that will enforce another state's child support laws.

either way i would suggest that you find a better male role model.
if he is refuseing to pay child support then he probally is not worthy of the title of father.

I hate paying my child support but that is only because i know that my boy's mother is spending it on everything but my boy.
in 20 years all of that money will be gone. for a total of 66,174 dollars that should be putting him through college...but i pay and put away what i can because it is the right thing to do and it keeps me out of jail....i just hope that he understands why there is no college fund when he has to work his way through college.

Yes, you can go through Child Support Recovery which you may have to get a number from any of the children's agencies that cover health, food, or aid for a dependent child -and even if he isn't working at the time, they will garnish wages when he is or take any income taxes he has coming back to him when he does pay in - and whatever he's up too, I wouldn't do him a good turn financially - save that for your Mom in an account or a CD or something. The fact that you have a phone number and po box will give them a place to start, you might see if your Mom has the divorce or custody papers they will have his social security number on them, and that will be their greatest asset for getting to your mother or you if you're already over 18, what he should have done all along. Then if he wants to talk bad - let him talk about himself.

Your mom can sue him for back child support pay. Chances are your dad is working and getting paid under the table to hide his income. She really should contact an attorney. As for you, quit doing things for your dad. He's talking about the parent that didn't leave you..he has no rights as far as I'm concerned and he's very lucky that you even want to have contact with him...don't let him talk bad about your mom.

Go to the U.S. Dept. of Justice Division of Child Support. They can find him and take away his driver license or put him in jail until he agrees to pay or pony's up the dough.

$100.00 a month isn't much. Ask for a computation of his wages since he was ordered to pay support and I think the figure would be higher by the new standards. He will have to pay all of it too or it will be reported on his credit.

Your father should be paying child support. Your mother can contact a lawyer about getting back child support. A private investigator can easily locate your father. I am sorry that your father is behaving badly.

It might be hard but ignore your father for the rest of his remaining living life. The most you will ever get from him is when he dies and that check comes from the government and you have to be under 18 to receive it.Remember one day he will be old and lonely and then he will be really calling you to help him.The choice is yours.

You (your mom) needs to contact the friend of the court, and probably get an attorney. If you are in contact with him, they should be able to locate him.

Then why are you talking to him? He is hiding to avoid obligation, responsibilty and reality. He wants you to do things for you even though he basically abandoned you. He derides the person that raised you - if she was that bad shouldn't he have tried to intervene?
