Before we decide to build the Kings a new arena we should ask if the Maloofs(owners of the Kings) or the Taxpayers are responsible for the money for the envioronmental study. Has a study been done? If not how can we be sure building Arco at the old railyards is safe. Has anyone studied the extra water usage or the extra sewage that would come from the arena? If a study reveals contamination in the soil or on the property who will pay for the clean up? These question should be asked and answered before we decide to defund ourselves.

You should also ask how is the ticket and concession sales funds going to: the Maloofs or the citizens? Of course some will go to the owners, but how much? How much is the tax going to be? Who really "runs" the new arena, the city or the team? I remember when the Suns owner (Jerry Colango is no longer the owner) stuck it to the Maricopa County citizens, $0.25 tax and none of the money came back to the county and he controlled the arena.

As much as the Kings did for the Sacramento Area, how could you even question not paying an extra .30$ for a new stadium. Stop with the studies and excuses and get the project rolling. The new arena would be a great asset to the Sacramento Area. Your kind of thinking is why you'll never get a professional baseball or football team. Vote to pay the extra tax. Nuff said.

You should also ask if the Kings are going to host for support of the new arena a summer kids camp or even invite local school teams from the area to play against them. The more you can do for the "kids" in the area, the more support you might get for a new complex. It really helps when your "home" teams support the home. Here the Diamond Jaxx are competing with 1 baseball team made up of the best High school Seniors for $$ donated to the new game fields. It just works to draw in outsiders this way to get localized donations so to speak. Good Luck!
