A web address like that is made up of three parts, the first is the WWW part, that simply stands for World Wide Web, most web addresses don't even need that part. The second is the actual domain name, in your case, fastmail. The third part is the top level domain, something such as .com which was made for commercial companies, .org for organizations, and such, and also for country codes. If it is .us it is a domain name in the USA, .cn is for China.

So to answer your question the .CN in fastmail.cn simply means that it is a Chinese web address.
