Do you want really good food or "ambiance"?
For really good food I would take you to Armando's in Jackson Heights, Queens . They have the best seafood and pasta sauces.
For decent food and great ambiance I would take you to Rizzo's Italian Village in Astoria, Queens. They have a decor that is indescribable and very good home made burgundy and adaquate eggplant rollatini.

The Golden Bird (Vietnamese) in China Town (Edmonton). Best food ever. Everyone who I take there LOVES it. And it's nice to go to the Asian markets afterwards. If anyone reading this goes there, order the #44.

We would go to the Chinese Buffet. We can eat right away, it is good, and you can eat just as healthy or as crappy as you want.

chinese food - steamed chicken feet, raw octopus, big fish head, pig intestine, soild pig blood cake ..etc
