it takes half the length of a certain relationship to get over that person?
(for example.. say you dated a guy for a year.. is it true that it takes six months (half) to get over him?)

No. It's different with every relationship. Some will take you a really long time to get over. Others you will be over in what seems like the blink of an eye.

It depends on how much the relationship meant to you. I was in love with the same guy for over a year and I'm doing pretty good (mostly looking for new relationships but still hurting a little) and it was only 4 months ago that he dumped me in a text message!

You can't set a specific date on something like that. It all depends on how close you were to this person and if you really loved him.
I went out with a guy for around 3 months and I'm still not really over him and its been over 7 months since we broke up, so it all really depends.

That is not true at all. Everyone is different and it make take months or even years for some to get over that person.

I think that it truely all depends on how close you really were to the person that you were dating. It also depends on the kind of person that you are, if you have been through long term relationships before then you are use to getting over people.

Defanitly not. It takes how ever long you feel you need to get over someone. I think that is just a myth. Decide for yourself.

i dont know..but i think if i broke up with my girl for 2 years ive been dating..i wouldnt ever get "over it" sometimes there are just people u will always love.

depends on how u cope with it :) if u allow yourself to wallow, then it will take longer, but if deal with it it a more 'constructive' way, then it'll be over before u know it :)
