I am from Europe and do not feel at all offended by the term Eurotrash. The term Eurotrash started in the nineties to refer to the rich, party-going, showy, young European idle rich. Kind of like the European pre-cursors of Paris Hilton.
Eurotrash was also an excellent TV show with Jean Paul Gaultier (the french fashion designer) where they travelled around Europe finding the most outrageous, revolting things (like HBO's Real Sex).

A slur referring to uncultured residents of Europe. Also applied to European visitors to North America who are thought to make self aggrandizing claims of wealth, status, or nobility.

Characteristics associated with Eurotrash include snootiness, overly extravagant dress and hair-styling, and frequent unfavorable comparisons between America and Europe.
