Being fired because you were in an accident even when you had a dr.'s note doesn't sound right. What I mean is that they might have been thinking about letting you go before your accident. Some of the things you can do is go to the Better Business Bureau and/or Human Rights. You might also want to talk to a lawyer. You can get 1/2 hr. free consultation if you go through The Lawyer Referral Service (which you can also find in the phone book.) They may also be able to give you some additional information on where to go to and what you should do. What your company did was wrong. It's called "wrongful dismissal." Don't let them get away with that. Good luck!

Talk to a lawyer, even if they were planning on letting you go, they should not have done it at that time, based on the way it looks. Sounds to me like they are setting themselves up for issues without knowing it.

If you had a doctors note the only reason they would of had to fire you would be if you already had attendence points prior
