Cover all garbage cans.
Open your door, and have a screen in it, they will be attracted to the light, and go to the door, then open it and let them out.
After you have eliminated them, close all doors, and turn on your A/C and it will dehumidify your house, so that you dont have any moisture in which the critters can breed.
Flies need three things like everything else. Water, Air, and Food.
You can eliminate the water by a dehumidifier, or A/C in the Summer time. The food is the garbage can that doesnt have a bag in it, or a lid on it, so they can get down in there and breed.
Ask your neighbors if they live close to keep thier garbage can lid's closed and tight.
Also, the other person is right, they do cause disease and all that, when they land on your food and other parts of your body, so I would just put fly pest strips up and catch them and eliminate them that way...(but thats my opinion)...

You're being selfish. Flies are carrier of diseases so should be exterminated there and than. Imagine flies having a fun time on some corpse or carcass then finding it's way into your house and sharing your nice meal with you !
Don't you feel sick and crampy that you have to go hug the john ?
You being a good samaritan and not wanting to kill that damn fly and allowing that murderer to go free ?
Sure you don't wanna to kill but feast on seeing your neighbours falling sick one after another.

Go after them one at a time with windex. Wait for them to land on something or just shoot them as they fly in the air. When they get windex on them, they temporarily can't fly but they are still alive. Then you could pick them up with a tissue and flush them down the toilet.

cant really tell how to get rid of them but can help keep them from coming in take a plastic ziploc baggie fill it half full of water and hang over the front door dont laugh it does work

hey i once held a glass near a fly, then turned the light off before placing glass over fly.when i turned light on i had fly captured. obviously he didnt see it coming. Not normally convieniant though. sorry. alternatively u could turn them from 'flys' into 'walks' by removing their wings. A very President Bush solution I feel.

You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that made me leap, i hate spiders... yet they do say they're sturdy for holding the flys down...in my opinion i take advantage of a twig or a fly swatter, the swatter is tremendous because it provides them an electric powered wonder and kills them in the present day.

since they only have life span of 3 days and the whole purpose of being is to fornicate and make more annoying babies... enjoy them while wearing ear muffs.....try strips or a bug zapper..

They are gross and dirty...just use a pest strip or bug spray...they aren't butterflies.
