I've been ridiculed for saying this and I expect more of the same, but you asked. In this day of poor role models and fallen hero's, there is some one whom I really respect: Jimmy Carter! Even most Democrats thought he was an innefective President, but that aside, he has lived his life with the highest moral principles and has never stopped giving. He travels the globe to this day trying to broker peace deals. He attends elections world-wide to observe that they are fair and free. He was never rich by Presidential standards but he has set up countless foundations to help with world needs. He works with his hands, side by side with us common people, building houses for Habitat for Humanity, through out the U.S. He was a Peanut Farmer when elected President, not a politician but a humanitarian. There is no one I know that is so pure in motivations and so rich in spirit. And there has never before or since been a leader so full of grace and dignity.

I am my own role model, everyone should live their lives according to their own rule and not blindly follow the foot steps of someone else. No matter how great that person is, you can be greater if you believe in yourself. If you try to achieve what someone else already achieved you are only neglecting your true potentials. Follow your own path, be your own role model, be your own inspiration, be your own competitor, and you will not only achieve the ability of self motivation but also propel to higher level of success, cause the path you took, the examples you set, the enlightenment you got, was no ones but yours. Your life is your own to write so don't plagiarize it.

My hero is Jesus Christ. This man was born into poverty, by a miracle from God, to become the "son of man." He struggled for the entire 33 years he was on Earth. He lived poor, he traveled light, and he hit roadblocks at every turn. People spit upon him, they called him names, they cursed him. He was persecuted, stabbed in the abdomen, fed vinegar water, crowned with thorns and ultimately sacrificed on the cross. Through out all of his time, he still loved, he still cared, and he still cared for his people. He remains the epitomy of unconditional love. I want to live my life to have strong patience, to remain compassionate, and to keep love in my heart at all times. I am no saint, and I will never be even remotely close in actions to Jesus. But I hope that with His guidance, and love, that I will be what he wants me to be. I am a person of console to others. I was made to help others through their hard times. Jesus is my hero because still, today, he is reaching out to people and helps them.

I think it would be the greatest shame of all if I had someone who I wanted to be like, then wound up being just like them. What would happen to my identity? I wouldn't be myself I would be them, in a different body. That almost makes me want to cry. I try to be myself, and in the words of Dr. Seuss:
"Come on!
Open your mouth and sound off at the sky!
Shout loud at the top of your voice,
I AM I!
ME, I am I!
And I may not know why
But I know that I like it.
THREE CHEERS! I AM I!"
