Why is it so hard for a man to break the friendzone force field. And please do not give the old lame stand by answer about not wanting to ruin the friendship. Isn't it that you aren't attracted to him in that way anymore, even if you were at first meeting.

Because she just doesn't want to be with you! When you meet someone you find to be funny, attractive and all that you want to move things to another level...if one of those things is missing...they are your friend.

When you first meet someone you generally don't know a lot about them...so you rely on physical attractiveness. Maybe as they get to "know you" the other parts just aren't there.

This is kind of a funny website (even though it is a REAL theory) I wouldn't take it as gospel or anything...but it may help...

Most times when you want to know the person better you date them first. Some women has made the mistake and jump into bed with the guy first and the result is always that they end up being dumped or taken for granted after. If the friendship last for over 6 months to a year she is not interested in you but only want you for a friend.

That's part of it - first impressions. Women often have an ideal man in mind and aren't willing to give up on that dream. So even though you get along in other areas, she's stuck on some detail that doesn't fit you. Also, she might be afraid that taking the relationship to the next level will destroy the friendship as feelings of jealousy, possessiveness and dependency come with a more intimate relationship. If she truly values her relationship with you, that might be the reason. It might also be though, that she just isn't that into you.

Friendship means a lot to women, so that could be it. Or she could just not be attracted to you and use that as an excuse. It's true though, that once you've been friends with someone for so long, you see them as more of a brother type and less of a love interest.

Yes I agree. A woman has more than likely lost interest. Maybe even tired of all the dram if it was a stressful relationship. It's a nice way to not be mean or keep them on ice for the future a night you are bored or have nothing to do.

I think for the most part it is fear of rejection. What if you're not attracted to her like she is to you?
that would be too akward afterwards.

Maybe after being friends for a while she sees things in the guy that she doesn't want in a BF or that she sees him completely differently now (she has grown or changed)

each female needs a guy with a humorousness. no longer being mean even though it in basic terms looks such as you're too severe. You sound like a very advantageous guy although yet in basic terms relax somewhat and humorous tale along with her and make her snicker...it would not might desire to be grimy jokes the two.

it really does come down to the chemistry thing. if the chemistry is there, usually it takes over and people aren't overthinking the whole thing. some people are sincere about wanting to keep a friendship, but i wouldnt say that's the majority.

Or it could be that the guy is always hooked up or thinking about some other chick besides the female friend that likes him.
