It tends to seem as you get closer things become more overwhelming. It's like the evils of the world are pressuring you to do bad and you dont want to. I dont know if you just understood anything i said. But yess i can relate to the question, because i have been trying to be closer to god and stuff and things have happened, like friends doing bad things, friends being total jerks, just everything going bad! But dont worry.. just keep getting closer to god!! okayy lets just put it in simpler terms..

Some people you will know for part of your life.. your family you'll know forever and sometimes things go wrong and stuff, but if you think about it, you can always turn to god! Keep getting closer to him, blessings will come!

Sry if my advice sucks!! haha

I take some time to myself and I either go to the beach at sunset and just enjoy the view, sit down and close my eyes and breathe the air and feel the warmth. I also might take some time out and listen to inspirational music and think about all the good things that God has done for me and give him praise and just tell him how good he is and talk to him (pray). I might also read the Bible or write in my journal, but it is basically about getting into a quiet place and communicating with God.

Keep focused on pleasing the almighty God...you have to have a made up mind to do the right thing. I've been in church my whole life and have seen many of my friends loose focus and leave the church or get pregnant...read your Bible often, stay in church, go to sunday school or Bible study and call a mature Christian to talk about your issues. Remember God knows your heart...ask him to help you.

I try to focus just on Him, and the great things he has in store for me. It's confusing sometimes, what goes one out there, but it is also comforting to know that God is protecting His people all around the world. Just pray, trust in him, ask him to guide your life, and then completely give it to him. Trust in Him, and He will take care of you! And read your Bible. Sometimes a verse just leaps out at you, and you think, whoa, THAT'S AWESOME!...and you feel tons better.

I get into a quiet, solitary place like Jesus did and pray to my father in heaven, like he did. I read my bible and I find people to pray for me. I call up my friends and tell them to pray for me, I go on google and find prayer chains and put in my prayer request. I request prayer from the pastors at church, or call the #s that pop up on the Christian channel. Here, it is TBN- Trinity Broadcasting Network. I ask God to hold on tight to me. I also listen to Christian music and radio stations. God bless!

I think we all go through that. Just pray a lot and ask for the strength you need to do what is right.

Find a quiet place away from it all. Just go there and pray. Always works for me.

you just stick to your guns....it's gets overwhelming because the devil is trying to steer you away....making you think no matter how much to talk to God...nothing changes...he wants you to think it is a waist of time....remember god gave him the power to rule....but god love and trust in his children.....will keep you safe....

What do you worship. Maybe you should stop pushing your beliefs on others.
